Frequently asked questions
We are about 50 minutes from Kisumu International Airport. From Kisumu take the Kisumu–Siaya road and turn left at Wagai Ka-DO, or the Kisumu–Bondo road and turn right at Akala Market, then follow the Wagai–Aluor Road to Nguge Drive. The lodge is also easy to reach from Busia, Siaya and Bondo towns. Call or WhatsApp +254 114 376659 and we will send you a pin.
Camping is US$25 per night with a tent and sleeping gear provided, or US$10 per night to hire the camping ground and pitch your own tent. Washrooms, the bonfire circle and WiFi at the Bistro are shared by all campers.
Yes. We collect guests from Kisumu International Airport and Kisumu town. Ask for a transfer quote with your booking enquiry.
Breakfast at the Village Bistro and free high-speed WiFi are included with every cottage. Activities, other meals and drinks are charged separately.
Yes. All power comes from solar, and the kitchen cooks on LPG. Lighting, WiFi and phone charging work around the clock; we ask guests to leave high-wattage appliances such as hairdryers at home.
Very. Families love the Bush View Cottage, the nature walks and the adventure park. Children must be accompanied by an adult on all activities, and guides confirm age and height limits on the day.
Zipline, ropes course, archery and similar activities start from KES 500 per person per activity. Team-building, school and wedding packages are quoted by group size.
Yes. We host weddings, traditional ceremonies, team-building days and retreats. Share your date, guest numbers and ideas in the form and our events team will send a proposal.
We welcome volunteers skilled in forestry, herbal medicine, regenerative agriculture, renewable energy, photography, monitoring and evaluation, and teaching. International volunteers arrange their own travel and visas.
